Glenn and Shirley Rozsmann
We’re thrilled to welcome Glenn Rozsmann as Interim Director and back to the Peace River area.
Glenn is passionate about camp as a place where kids get to see God in action—through His beautiful creation and through the love and care shown by staff. He’s excited to use the outdoors as much as possible to introduce kids to Christ and to teach the truths of the Gospel, making full use of the incredible location and facilities God has blessed Camp Sagitawa with—for His glory and His will.
This season isn’t “just a job” for Glenn & Shirley, but a ministry God is clearly directing them to be part of. They may be familiar faces to many of us and in his younger years Glenn worked at Camp as a cabin leader, program director, and was involved in the board. Glenn brings both heart and hands-on experience to leadership development and creative growth in our camp ministry.
We are so blessed to have the Rozxmann’s on our team, allowing the Lord to use the gifts he has given them both for the work here at Camp Sagitawa.
Jocelyn Woodburne
Jocelyn is the Administrative Assistant at Camp Sagitawa and she will likely be the friendly voice on the phone or behind the office emails when you reach out to Camp Sagitawa—and the smiling face that greets you when you arrive at camp. And if she’s not in the office, you might find her enjoying the lake, lending a hand at archery or taking pictures!
Jocelyn is passionate about camping ministry. Having grown up attending a Christian camp for nearly a decade, she knows firsthand the foundation of faith that camp can foster in young people and her own experiences at camp are important seeds of her faith. Beyond faith, she recognizes the benefits of camp on child development, offering opportunities for social development, exploring nature, and other practical skills that are often lacking in today’s world and is excited about the opportunity to help provide these kinds of formative experiences for young people.
We are blessed to have her administrative abilities in helping camp run smoothly and care for the youth who come visit Camp Sagitawa this coming year.
Pippin
Pippin is our (unofficial) Head of Security. You may spot him checking the property perimeter, searching staff for treats, or issuing trespassing citations to birds. Despite his sometimes gruff demeanor he actually really likes people and is only upset that he can’t greet everyone who visits.
There are so many opportunities to volunteer, and so many who come and help us in one way or another. We appreciate all.
Some projects cannot be done while camp sessions are in process. Others can.Our Property Chair is responsible to manage camp property projects.
We may have 2-3 ongoing projects at a time. We have three thoughts regarding volunteers.
For each of the above, please let us know by contacting the office. We will either provide the information or pass you on to our Property Chair.
